Your organisation now has the opportunity to join the Mauritius Institute of Directors as a Corporate Partner. This new category of partnership was created to support Mauritian companies with their corporate governance needs, as part of the MIoD's new strategy.

This new system will open six new categories of membership for companies:

Advocacy Partners

Annual Contribution: Rs 250,000

As an Advocacy Partner, your organisation will have a special role to play in supporting the MIoD's advocacy platform, a key element of the institute's new strategy. The Initiative for Gender Diversity in Leadership, launched in February 2017, is the first example of the MIoD's advocacy platform in action.

This was followed in August, by the Conference on Innovation: A Swiss-Mauritian Perspective, which focused on the importance of innovation for the sustained economic growth of Mauritius, bringing together a wide range of stakeholders from the public and private sectors.

In the future, the MIoD intends to look at other themes that are crucial to the Mauritian economy and wishes to do so by surrounding itself with key players from the Mauritian business world.

By joining our prestigious group of Advocacy Partners, your organisation will be able to position itself as an agent of change and thought leader, gaining great visibility by supporting the identification of and discussions around major themes that affect the way companies do business and the country's growth.

Parastatals/State-Owned Enterprises

Corporate governance is an essential element for the public sector, and the MIoD’s corporate membership structure is open to state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and parastatal bodies.

State-owned enterprises and parastatals are often the main providers of key public services, which means that their operations have a major impact on the lives of citizens and the overall development of the economy.

With the introduction of the new Code of Corporate Governance for Mauritius, SOEs and parastatals may wish to improve and review their corporate governance practices, ensuring increased efficiency, transparency and accountability.

At the MIoD, we strongly encourage and welcome SOEs and parastatals to join one of our Corporate Membership categories, based on their turnover.
